The first thing that strikes you about Koramangala 'Social' is the generous expanse of foliage that covers the place. In a city which is fast losing its lung space, this comes across as a pleasant change and combined with the huge glass ceiling on the first floor and a partially open roof on the second level which offers you a view of the city, it makes for a striking visual appeal. Long wooden benches and upcycled furniture lend the largest 'Social' in Bengaluru a vintage charm.

The menu retains the classic 'Social' signature but also has some new additions. A new section called 'local heroes' has options like 'gunpowder baby potatoes', 'ghee roast chicken', 'Chicken kebab magic' and assorted vegetable fritters to cater to street food lovers in the sizeable crowd that comes in everyday. The 'munchies' remain favourites with options like 'Chakhna bitings tiffin' (a combination of the humble peanuts, fryums, moong dal and so on), 'Them potato skins' (potatoes with sour cream, BBQ sauce and grilled cheddar), 'Applam chaplam papadum', 'Chooza 69' (Hyderabadi style chicken lollipop) and so on. Kebabs like 'Basil thyme paneer tikka', 'Mutton seekh' etc are a delectable blend of flavours and textures. There are also separate sections for baos and pao.

For those of you who want to have something a bit more filling, the 'Social substantials' section has you covered. With home-style food from different parts of the country, this part of the menu has interesting delights like 'Punjabi kadhi', Goan prawn curry, Mangalorean chicken Gassi, Coorg speciality pork curry and so on. Deviating from the usual, the restaurant has introduced pasta for the first time and the 'Social special Spaghetti AOP' is a must try in this.

'Social Chhat Signatures' is designed to take us to the lanes of North India with selections like 'Daal makhani', 'Toofani paneer', 'Mind blast mutton' and so on which are served along with roti, naan or paratha.

The desserts need no introduction of course. Interesting names like 'The chocolate chutzpah', 'Lucky's caramel custard', 'The Ramesh and Suresh', 'Elvis Presley French toast' give only a slight indication of the heavenly indulgence that is to follow.

As a co-working space, restaurant, bar, pub and Cafe, 'Social' covers it all.

The restaurant is located at 118, 7th Block, Industrial Area, Koramangala.
