After experimenting with different characters in 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu', 'Beautiful Manasugalu', 'Urvi' and 'Happy New Year', Sruthi is excited about her latest release 'Vismaya', opposite actor Arjun Sarja. The role, she says, is a small one but she is glad to have had an opportunity to work with some of the best names in Sandalwood.
"This is Arjun Sarja's 150 film. Arjun has had a long and illustrious journey but he is such a humble and down-to-earth person. At first, I was pretty unnerved when I heard that I was going to be working with Arjun because he is such a big star. But I was impressed when I saw how committed he is to his craft," explains Sruthi.
The actor plays the role of Arjun's wife in 'Vismaya'. Sharing her experience, Sruthi says, "Arjun plays an investigating officer in the film and it can be quite stressful to be the wife of an officer who handles very high-profile and sensitive cases. I have had to balance my emotions in such a way that nothing goes overboard."
She adds, "Letting go off someone you love, especially when you know that he is involved in a risky job, can be quite difficult to emote. I had to work hard to portray the required emotions." She also liked her character because it is similar to the strong, independent and career-minded women of today.
Sruthi also has 'Upendra Mathe Baa' up for release. She plays Upendra's wife in the film. About her role, she says "Working with Upendra sir was a dream come true. He has so much energy and knowledge. I enjoyed the conversations with him and was delighted to get an insight into his experience in cinema. That made it easy to get under the skin of my character,"she adds.
