Drench in the colours

The Cubbon Pavilion at ITC Gardenia on Residency Road is all set to drench itself in the colours of the harvest festival of Onam.

'Onam' or 'Thiruonam' originated as a joyous annual reminiscence of the golden rule of King Mahabali, a mythical king, who ruled Kerala a very long time ago.

Onam welcomes the spirit of this great king and is a veritable spread of many appetising delicacies.

The expert chefs have put together a special celebratory 'Sadya Brunch' on September 3 and a traditional 'thali' for lunch on September 4 that is fit for kings. 'Sadya', the typical Kerala feast, is a sumptuous spread of rice with a number of side dishes such as 'Erissery', 'Avial', 'Chena varuthath' and 'Moru curry'.

The brunch (gourmet) is available on September 3 (Rs 2450 + taxes) and lunch on September 4 (1,550 + taxes).Image may be NSFW.
