Tucked in the busy streets of Koramangala, this cosy corner is hardly two months old but it has become popular with foodies as a one-stop shop for a quick bite. 'Maxpresso' is a refreshing little place to hang out with your friends, away from all the commotion outside.

It is a joint venture by Abhijit Kamal Bhuyan and Munmi Gogoi and derives its name from Abhijit's dog, Max. The quaint structure belies the fact that there is ample room inside and the well-lit wooden interiors give a warm and homely feel. The wall art is another highlight of the cafe and reflects creativity at its best.

The food menu offers a variety of options starting from salads and light bites like french fries and crispy chicken strips to sandwiches, steak and pastas.

If you want to start your meal on a light note, the 'Cheesy max potato' is a good option. The finely boiled potatoes dipped in creamy cheese will assauge your hunger pangs. However, the potatoes could be a little more flavoured as the filling tends to taste a bit bland. You can also try the 'Crispy chicken strips', which is one of their fast moving items.

The 'Grilled veg sandwich' can be a good option for vegetarians. The slightly sweet and tangy taste gives an otherwise mundane vegetable sandwich an interesting twist with vegetables like corn and spinach adding the crunch factor.

While you enjoy the vegetarian delight, don't miss out on the 'Teriyaki chicken sausage burger'. The generously-portioned burger is great for a growling stomach. However, the filling, consisting of teriyaki sauce, chicken sausage and mayo, can be a little less to avoid a messy experience.

The 'Chicken lasagne' is a good pick too. The finely minced chicken is flavourful and extremely filling. You can also tingle your taste buds with the red sauce 'Spicy and cheesy macaroni'. Complete your meal with the classic 'Chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce'. The best thing about this is that it is soft and doesn't stick to your teeth and the roof of the mouth unlike others.

Wash your food down with a glass of 'Choco frappe'. It has just the right amount of sweetness and will not be heavy on your already full stomach. The 'Orange' and 'Watermelon' mojitos can also be good option among beverages. If you can, try their 'Classic mojito' too.

The service is prompt and the staff is cordial and has good knowledge about the menu.

'Maxpresso' is located at Ground Floor, 343, 1st B Main, Koramangala 7th Block. For details call, 9620723546.
